Account Executive Role – Dublin

Ireland’s fastest growing government and regulatory affairs firm, Vulcan Consulting, is currently advertising for an exceptional Account Executive to join our team. We have offices in Dublin and Brussels and are part of a global public affairs network, Fipra. We are seeking to bring on board an enthusiastic, committed professional, with a strong interest in politics and international affairs. This is the ideal role for someone who has a passion for current affairs and is driven by the prospect of joining a young, growing firm and being an important part of that growth story.

Core responsibilities to include:

-Supporting the leadership team in Dublin and Brussels to achieve the company’s objectives
-Carrying out in depth research on a wide range of policy areas and assisting in the drafting of technical reports for clients
-Preparing creative materials in pitches for new business
-Supporting all aspects of the delivery of policy, advisory services and government relations strategies for diverse range of clients
-Develop understanding of key sectors – financial services, energy, healthcare, agri-food & foreign policy and security-Responsibility for social media and website content

We are looking for a person who:

-Has a minimum of 12 months domestic and /or EU political, regulatory or industry experience (stage, internship, work experience or college placement)
-Good working knowledge of the Irish political system as well as EU institutions
-Has excellent writing and analytical skills including a proven ability to write thoughtful press releases, client briefings, presentations and social media content
-Is competent to support the delivery of high quality public affairs campaigns for clients
-Has relevant third level qualifications
-Excellent written and verbal communications skills including the ability to effectively engage with C-level executives and policy makers
-Is a ‘doer’ who’s highly self motivated and willing to learn
-Shows strong initiative and can act independently when necessary
-Has a demonstrable interest in both domestic and international politics
-Proven ability in meeting tight deadlines and effective multi-tasking in a fast-paced corporate environment
-I.T. skills (web maintenance, social media, power-point etc)
